Augustine Meaher
Augustine Meaher is an associate professor at the Air University’s Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base. He specializes in Australian and Aviation history and twentieth-century military history. He is the author of The Australian Road to Singapore: The Myth of British Betrayal (2010), and the recipient of a Pan Am Historical Organization research grant, from which this article is drawn.
