Bernd Behr

Bernd Behr is a London-based artist and senior lecturer in photography at Camberwell College of Arts, University of London. His research practice examines speculative image futures at media-archaeological intersections of spatial cultures and optical regimes. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Bloomberg Space and the ICA in London, High Desert Test Sites in California, the Kadist Foundation, San Francisco, Para Site Hong Kong and the Taiwan Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013. Bernd is an editor of Philosophy of Photography, and he edited the journal Special Issue: ‘Shadow Without Object’ in 2016. He has a forthcoming article on Dalí’s paranoiac critical method and computer vision, which will be published in the collection Diffracting Digital Images (Routledge, 2021).
