Bryan M. Vandevender

Bryan M. Vandevender is an assistant professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Bucknell University where he teaches courses in theatre history, dramatic literature, dramaturgy, acting and theatre ethics. A director, dramaturg and musical theatre historian, his articles and reviews have appeared in Theatre Journal, Studies in Musical Theatre, New England Theatre Journal, Theatre History Studies, Theatre Annual and Texas Theatre Journal. He has also contributed chapters to The Palgrave Handbook of Musical Theatre Producers, iBroadway: Musical Theatre in the Digital Age and The Routledge Handbook to the Contemporary Musical. His current book project centres on musicals in revival and analyses both the exigencies and ethics of reviving musicals for Broadway, regional theatres and amateur stages.
