Colin Sparks

Colin Sparks is professor of media studies in the Department of Journalism at Hong Kong Baptist University. Before joining HKBU he worked for many years in School of Communication at the University of Westminster, where he directed the Communication and Media Research Institute. His research interests include media in societies experiencing rapid social, economic and political change, comparative media systems, and the impact of new media upon legacy media. He is an Editor of Media, Culture and Society.
