Iolanda Tortajada
Iolanda Tortajada (Ph.D.) is senior lecturer of Communication Studies at the Rovira i Virgili University (Tarragona, Spain) and member of Asterisc Communication Research Group. Her research deals with changes in the representation of femininity, as well as with the mediatization of sexual and affective relations, the role media (and, more specifically, fiction formats) play in strengthening gender violence, the emergence and consolidation of alternative masculinities and teenagers’ appropriation of media discourses and social networking sites as a means to construct their own gender identities.
