John Steel

John Steel has published and teaches in the areas of political communication, media history and journalism ethics and regulation at the University of Sheffield. He is particularly interested in issues of normative parameters of news-media work and freedom of expression. He is the project lead in a major AHRC-funded research project examining press ethics and regulation across a number of European countries, including the United Kingdom.
