Jule Selbo
Jule Selbo, Ph.D, is an award-winning screenwriter and producer with work in feature film and television. She is a professor at California State University, Fullerton, and has lectured in Europe and Asia on screenwriting and film genre. Her books include Screenplay: Building Story through Character (Routledge 2015) and Film Genre for the Screenwriter (2014, Routledge). The book Women Screenwriters International Guide (2015) is co-edited by Selbo and Jill Nelmes, published by Palgrave Macmillan and features contributions from film scholars on over 1000 female screenwriters from across the globe from 1896 to contemporary times. She served as co-editor of the Journal of Screenwriting (Intellect Press, UK) for eight years and her first novel, Piazza Carousel, A Florence Love Story, was released in 2017.
