Kelly Freebody

Kelly Freebody is an associate professor at The University of Sydney. Her research focuses on drama, young people, education and social justice. Her work considers the history of ideas in the fields of drama education and theatre. Kelly was co-editor of the recent Routledge Companion to Theatre and Young People (2022) and is co-editor of the Applied Theatre Research journal. Her programme of research seeks to develop theoretical and practical understandings of the ways in which drama of/for/about social justice operates in a variety of institutional and educational settings.
