Kwang Woo Noh

Kwang Woo Noh got his master degree at New York University for cinema studies and his doctoral degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He was one of founding members of New York Korean Film Festival, which was organized to introduce and promote Korean films to New York film fans in 2001. He contributed his articles on Korean cinema, Korean pop culture, Hallyu, American Western genre, and other film-related topics to Korean and English academic journals. Since he got his doctoral degree and came back to Korea, he has taught courses of Korean cinema, American cinema, film industry, globalization and popular culture at undergraduate and graduate schools. Among his published papers, Kwang Woo Noh’s favorite article is Dark side of Modernization: Bong Jun-Ho’s Memories of Murder (2003) at Asian Cinema 19(1) in 2007.
