Michael Anderson
Michael Anderson is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Sydney. His research and teaching concentrate on how arts educators and other community-focused professionals begin, evolve and achieve change in schools and other communities. This work has evolved into a programme of research and publication. His recent publications explore how aesthetic education is changing in the twenty-first century. These publications include Masterclass in Drama Education: Transforming Teaching and Learning (2012), Teaching the Screen, Film Education for Generation Next (with Miranda Jefferson, 2009) and Drama with Digital Technology (with John Carroll and David Cameron, 2009). He is also chief investigator on large Australian Research Council linkage research projects investigating the arts in the lives of young people.
