Nigel Wheale

Nigel Wheale is a poet and an independent scholar. An archive of recent writing is available online at fortnightlyreview.co.uk. His works include: Simples (The Many Press, 1979); Phrasing the Light (The Many Press, 1994); The Postmodern Arts (Routledge, 1995), Writing and Society: Literacy, Print and Politics in Britain, 1590–1660 (Routledge, 1999) and Raw Skies: New and Selected Poems (Shearsman, 2005). He also contributed two chapters to Poets on Writing: Great Britain 1970–1991, edited by Denise Riley (Macmillan, 1992) and edited Shakespeare in the Changing Curriculum, with Lesley Aers (Routledge, 1991).
