Paola Bonifazio
Paola Bonifazio is an associate professor of Italian studies and chair of the Department of French and Italian at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests are in Italian film and media studies, film history and theory (including non-fiction and non-commercial films), feminist and postfeminist theories, and gender studies. She is the author of Schooling in Modernity: The Politics of Sponsored Film in Postwar Italy (University of Toronto Press, 2014) and The Photoromance (MIT Press, 2020). She is also one of the editors of the online peer-reviewed journal gender/sexuality/italy.
