Roger Leong

Roger Leong is a senior curator at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) in Sydney. He has been working in the museum sector since 1990 and has held curatorial roles at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra; Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery; National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, before joining MAAS in 2014. He has organized eighteen exhibitions, mostly of fashion, in addition to paintings, drawings, decorative arts and Ballets Russes costumes. At MAAS, Roger leads a team of applied arts curators responsible for collections of decorative arts and design, graphic design and photography, social and performance history, dress and fashion. He is the curatorial leader for the MAAS Centre for Fashion, the Museum’s initiative for engaging industry and audiences on diverse levels.
