Rosario Radakovich
Dr Rosario Radakovich is associate professor in the programme for the Development of Information and Communication (PRODIC) of the Communication and Information Faculty (FIC) at the Universidad de la República (UDELAR), Uruguay. She is the lead researcher of ‘Innovative Creative Industries’ Research Group (PRODIC-FIC/UDELAR). Ph.D. in Sociology (Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Brazil, 2011), Postgraduate Diploma in Audiovisual Communication (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, 2008). She is researcher of the National Agency of Innovation and Research (ANNI). She has written two books – Cultural Portrait (2011) and Television Territories (2004) – and has coordinated ‘Mapping Digital Media (OSF) – Uruguay’ (Radakovich et al. 2013), ‘National cinema in the 2000s: Innovative creative industries in Uruguay’ (Radakovich et al. 2014), ‘Imaginaries and cultural consumption of the Uruguayans’ (Achugar et al. 2002; Dominzaín et al. 2009 and 2014) and ‘Cultural regions in Uruguay’ (Arocena et al. 2011). She serves on the Association for Cultural Studies Board.
