Stayci Taylor
Dr Stayci Taylor is a lecturer in the Master of Media at RMIT University, Melbourne. Her professional screenwriting credits include a sketch comedy series and sitcom (broadcast in Australia and New Zealand, respectively). She co-edited a Special Issue of this journal on script development, with two edited collections on the topic forthcoming. Her research on screenwriting, gender, comedy, web series and scriptwriting-as-research has appeared in New Writing, TEXT, Celebrity Studies and Studies in Australasian Cinema among others. In 2019, she ran an undergraduate studio course called Battle of the Sketches, from which, in the pursuit of scholarly readings, early research for this article began.
