Tomáš Dvořák

Tomáš Dvořák is an assistant professor in the Department of Photography at FAMU in Prague. His research focuses on theory and history of photography, media and visual culture and their intersection with the history and philosophy of science and technology. Amongst many other publications in Czech and in English, he recently co-edited, with Jussi Parikka, the book Photography off the Scale: Technologies and Theories of the Mass Image (Edinburgh University Press, 2021). Tomáš’s chapter in this book (‘Eccentric metrics in visual culture’) addresses questions informing this roundtable event.
