Vayu Naidu

Vayu Naidu’s doctoral site specific research in oral traditions led her to performers, people and places that brought her in contact with ancient practices relevant in a contemporary world. She founded an intercultural storytelling theatre and worked in prisons, shelters, with refugees and multicultural agencies. Her novels are Sita’s Ascent (Penguin) and The Sari of Surya Vilas (Speaking Tiger and Affirmpress). As Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Royal Holloway, she has completed a third novel of historical fiction set in seventeenth-century England and India, awaiting publication.
