Wenche Torrissen
Wenche Torrissen is a professor of drama and theatre at Volda University College and the Norwegian Resource Centre for Arts and Health. Torrissen has a Ph.D. from Royal Holloway, University of London. Her main research interests are applied theatre and theatre history. She is particularly interested in the ways in which the arts can (and have) supported change, both historically and in contemporary contexts. Currently she is working on research projects that document and investigate theatre in health practices in Scandinavia. Together with Anita Jensen, she is one of the founding principal editors of Nordic Journal of Arts, Culture and Health, an open access journal that is published by Scandinavian University Press.
