Afroditi Nikolaidou

Afroditi Nikolaidou is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and teaches film and TV production. She has co-edited several volumes on Greek cinema and culture among them Athens: World Film Locations (with Irini Sifaki and Anna Poupou, Intellect, 2014) and Apo ton proimo ston sihrono elliniko kinimatografo (From the Early to Contemporary Greek Cinema: Methodology, Theory, History) (with Maria Paradeisi, Dardanos, 2017) and I hameni leoforos tou ellinikou cinema (‘The lost highway of Greek cinema’) (with Anna Poupou, Nefeli, 2019). She is currently co-editing with Dimitris Papanikolaou a publication on Greek cinema and co-curates with Elina Psykou, Dimitris Papanikolaou and Syllas Tsoumerkas Motherland, I See You, a year-long public screening, film preservation and publication project, organized by the Hellenic Film Academy.
