Alain-G. Gagnon

Alain-G. Gagnon is a full professor in the Department of Political Science at the Université du Québec à Montréal and founding director of the Centre de recherche interdisciplinaire sur la diversité et la démocratie (CRIDAQ). Holder of the Canada Research Chair in Quebec and Canadian Studies (CREQC) since 2003, he is also Director of the Groupe de recherche sur les sociétés plurinationales (GRSP) since 1994. He is the laureate of the 2016 Governor General’s International Award for Canadian Studies and received the Insigne de la Pléiade in 2018. He is the author of more than 500 works in political sociology, federal studies and Canadian politics. His research has been translated into twenty languages.
