Aleksandra Raonic

Aleksandra Raonic is an architect and educator, associate professor of practice at the Department of Architecture, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China, who has been successfully combining teaching and practice for fifteen years. Raonic is founder and principle architect of an award-winning architectural studio RAUM (www.raum.co.rs), within which she has been developing research-oriented design practice. She has realized a substantial number of projects in the field of architecture and urban design, and some in art – all of which gained recognition and awards (over 25 awards granted for architectural practice, one for art and a number of awards for teaching). All of her projects have been published and exhibited nationally and internationally, including three at the Venice Biennale (in 2006, 2012 and 2014). Her most recent award was granted for the sustainable kindergarten in the Stubline village, which won in the category architecture at the 20th International Salon of Architecture, 2016, Novi Sad. The same project won an award at the 2017 S.ARCH International Architecture Award and was exhibited at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
