Andrea Bergantino

Andrea Bergantino holds a BA and MA in modern languages and literatures (English and German) both awarded by the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’ in 2016 and 2018, respectively. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Trinity Centre for Literary and Cultural Translation – Trinity College Dublin. His research focuses on the interplay between literature and translation, exploring literary portrayals of translators and the fictionalization of translation, with special interest in twentieth-century and contemporary Italian literature. He translated into Italian, with a translation commentary, three chapters of  Corpus Translation Studies (CTS) (ed. S. Laviosa and M. Ji, Pensa Multimedia, 2019). He has been an editorial assistant for the Journal of Italian Cinema & Media Studies since 2021.
