Andrew C. Rajca

Andrew C. Rajca is an assistant professor of Portuguese and Spanish and the Portuguese programme director at the University of South Carolina. His research focuses on literary and visual culture in the Latin American Southern Cone. His published articles and forthcoming book (Dissensual Subjects, Northwestern University Press) deal primarily with themes of memory, human rights and political subjectivity in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. He has begun working on a new book project focused on urban theory, aesthetics and cinema in São Paulo, Brazil.
