Araceli Masterson-Algar

Araceli Masterson-Algar is an associate professor at the University of Kansas. She works on the intersection of urban cultural studies and human mobility and transnational ties between Ecuador and Spain. Araceli is a member of the Binational Migration Institute at The University of Arizona and associate editor of the Journal of Urban Cultural Studies. She is an author of Ecuadorians in Madrid: Migrants Place in Urban History (Palgrave, 2016) and co-editor of ‘No vale nada la vida, la vida no vale nada’: Political Intersections of Migration and Death in the U.S. Mexico Border (University of Arizona Press, 2016).
