Asmus Gamdrup Jensen

Asmus Gamdrup Petersen Jensen, MA, is a food historian and co-owner of the food consultancy company KOST. His work focuses on the history of crops and the development of regional food cultures focusing on the relationship between place and taste, cultures, actors and nature. He has published books on the history of sour cherries, cabbage, regionality, and has developed teaching materials for primary schools. Besides books and articles, he also worked as a TV host for Danish television, DR, with programme series focusing on African gastronomy. His work has been acknowledged with a diploma of honour by the Danish Gastronomical Academy.
