Basyouni Ibrahim Hamada

Basyouni Hamada is professor of communication and public opinion at the Department of Mass Communication, Qatar University. Previously, he served as dean and deputy dean for a number of colleges of mass communication. His articles have appeared in Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, Journalism Studies, Journal of International Communication, Journal of Development Communication, Journal of Global Media and Communication, Journal of Arab and Muslim Communication Research, Global Media Journal and the Egyptian Journal of Communication Research. His teaching and research focus on the interdisciplinary areas of communication and journalism including global communication, political communication and public opinion, journalism ethics, press freedom, Arab media transformation, the Islamic perspective of communication, journalists autonomy. Professor Hamada is the editor of a forthcoming book on Off and Online Journalism and Corruption: International Comparative Analysis published by IntechOpen (https://www.intechopen.com/welcome/a9255404676105c3160a4b0bd63e4b36).
