Brendan Hennessey

Brendan Hennessey is associate professor of Italian in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Binghamton University. His specializations include Italian cinema and photography, the interrelationships between film and the other arts, and the technology of Italian moviemaking. Hennessey is the author of Luchino Visconti and the Alchemy of Adaptation (SUNY Press, 2021) and has published articles in journals such as The Italianist, Italian Culture, Modern Language Notes and Italian American Review. He is co-editor of book reviews at the Journal of Italian Cinema & Media Studies.
