Candida Yates
Dr Candida Yates is a Reader in Psychosocial Studies at the University of East London and is the Co-Director of the AHRC Media and the Inner World research network. She is the joint Series Editor for the Karnac book series ‘Psychoanalysis and Popular Culture’, Co-Editor of the journal Free Associations: Psychoanalysis and Culture, Media, Groups, Politics and Consulting Editor of Psychoanalysis, Culture and Society. She has published widely on the themes of psychoanalysis, emotion and popular culture, and her publications include Masculine Jealousy and Contemporary Cinema (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007), Culture and The Unconscious (co-edited with Bainbridge et al., Palgrave Macmillan, 2007), Emotion: New Psychosocial Perspectives (co-edited with Day Sclater et al., Palgrave Macmillan, 2009), Television and Psychoanalysis: Psycho-Cultural Approaches (co-edited with Bainbridge and Ward, Karnac, 2013) and Political Culture, Emotion and Identity (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014).
