Carmelo Garitaonandia

Carmelo Garitaonandia (Bilbao, 1949) is Professor of Journalism, Doctor of Political Sciences and BA in Law (University Complutense of Madrid) and Master of Information and Audiovisual Communication (University of Paris VII). He has written several articles and books, and has participated in a large number of international conferences about communication and mass media. Among his most important books are: Miquel Moragas and Carmelo Garitaonandia (eds) (1995), Decentralisation in the Global Era, John Libbey; Miquel Moragas, Carmelo Garitaonandia and Bernat Lopez (eds) (1999) TV on Your Doorstep, University of Luton Press; and with J. A. Oleaga the chapter ‘Media genres and content preferences’, in the book Children and Their Changing Media Environment: A European Comparative Study, Sonia Livingstone and Moira Bovill (eds.), (2001).
