Chinwe Obuaku-Igwe

Chinwe Obuaku-Igwe teaches at University of the Western Cape where she obtained a Ph.D. in medical sociology. She is currently the president of the South African Sociological Association and founder of the Writer’s Clinic. Her research interests span health services research and participatory health approaches. Her recent titles include ‘“Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” (A person is a person because of other people): Reflections on student’s experiences of social isolation and the impact of a peer-to-peer mental health support group during COVID-19 lockdown in South Africa’ in Youth Voice Journal (ISBN [online]: 978-1-91163-423-2).
