Claire Scanlon
Claire Scanlon has an MA from Goldsmiths’ College, where she taught from 1990–2003. She is senior lecturer in the Creative Industries Department at Northbrook Metropolitan College.
Her continuing postcard series ‘Desultory Object’ currently consist of five works: R.E.A.D.E.R, WRITER, Return of the Reader, Write Test and 2Words. These works have slowly mapped the space of correspondence between reader and writer through a combination of theoretical inquiry and lived happenstance. Claire is currently undertaking a Research Masters at the University of Brighton. Her creative practice-based project investigates how conceptual art drawing as diagramming intersects with the speculative idea of the imagethought in post-Continental philosophy.
