Dani Abulhawa is lecturer in contemporary applied performance at the University of Leeds. She is the co-founder of accumulations, a supportive network of dance and movement artists based in Manchester, United Kingdom. Dani is a director of Skate Manchester CIC, which supports accessibility of skateboarding to diverse people, and the development of skateboarding activity and spaces in the city of Manchester. Dani is an ambassador for SkatePal, a charity that build skateparks and facilitate skateboarding sessions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. In response to the threat of ocean biodiversity and food security precipitated by the climate crisis, Dani co-founded Plant Ecology Beyond Land CIC (PEBL) with materials scientist, Dr Christian Berger. PEBL conducts research and development for seaweed farming, provides environmental monitoring equipment to seafarmers and engages communities with the renewed aquaculture industry in Wales.
