Deanna Petherbridge

Professor emerita Deanna Petherbridge CBE is an artist, writer and curator. She was professor of Drawing at the Royal College of Art and has undertaken practical and academic residencies including The Getty Research Center, Los Angeles. Her retrospective at the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, 2016 was accompanied by the monograph Deanna Petherbridge; Drawing and Dialogue. Recent publications include Artists at Work, The Courtauld Gallery 2018; Witches and Wicked Bodies, National Galleries of Scotland and British Museum, 2013; The Primacy of Drawing: Histories and Theories of Practice, Yale University Press, 2010. Her triptych The Destruction of Homs is on display, Tate Britain during 2019.
