Diana Sandars

Dr Diana Sandars is a lecturer in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne, Australia, where she teaches courses in screen, gender, new media, social justice and cultural studies. Diana has published chapters on: Ally McBeal (1997–2002), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003), SheZow (2012–13), Mad Max Fury Road (Miller, 2015), The Daughter (Stone, 2015), Looking for Grace (Brooks, 2015) and Lilo and Stitch (DeBlois and Sanders, 2002) and contributed to the academic journals: Australian Screen Education, Deletions, Idiom, M/C Journal, Metro, Participations: International Journal of Audience Research, The Refractory and Screening the Past and Senses of Cinema. Diana’s current research focus is on the child in screen media.
