Eduardo Corte Real
Eduardo Côrte-Real is professor of drawing and visual culture and has a Ph.D. in architecture and visual communication. He has authored books and several book chapters, papers and articles on drawing, design, visual culture and material culture, and co-organized and participated in multiple international conferences and co-curated exhibitions in these areas. Since 1999 he has taught at IADE, Universidade Europeia in Lisbon, was president of the Scientific Board and coordinator of the Ph.D. in Design and MA in Design and Visual Culture courses. Currently, he teaches observational drawing, art and visual culture, illustration and comics and is research leader at ESAD-IDEA, Matosinhos. He was the co-editor of the online journal The (Radical) Designist: ThRAD, http://radicaldesignist.unidcom-iade.pt , and the author of the Smooth blog to Travel Drawing, https://eduardocortereal.wordpress.com/ . He is also a member of the advisory board of JAWS, Journal of Arts Writing by Students.
