Elihu Katz
Elihu Katz (Ph.D., Columbia) is Distinguished Trustee Professor of Communication at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Emeritus Professor of Sociology and Communication at Hebrew University and a recipient of honorary degrees from universities in five countries. His books include Personal Influence (with Paul F. Lazarsfeld), The Uses of Mass Communication (with Jay G. Blumler), The Export of Meaning (with Tamar Liebes), Media Events (with Daniel Dayan) and Canonic Texts in Media Research (with J.D. Peters, T. Liebes and A. Orloff).
