Elissa Harbert
Elissa Harbert is an assistant professor of musicology at DePauw University. She earned her Ph.D. in musicology from Northwestern University, where she was awarded the Alvin H. Johnson AMS 50 Dissertation Fellowship. Her articles, ‘“Ever to the right”? The political life of 1776 in the Nixon era’ and ‘Hamilton and history musicals’ appear in American Music. She has contributed several chapters to edited collections on musical theatre and is working on a monograph about history musicals. She served as a book review editor for American Music.
