Elizabeth Zandstra is science leader of the Consumer Science group at Unilever R&D Vlaardingen. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in the area of food acceptance, appetite control and the regulation of food intake (2000). Directly after her Ph.D., she joined Unilever R&D Vlaardingen. In Unilever, she gained extensive experience in science, resource and programme management. Her work focuses on long-term scientific challenges to find new ways to make the healthy and sustainable choice the easy and preferred choice. Her research interests focus on psychophysiological and behavioural effects of foods as well as new methodologies for better understanding consumer behaviour.
