Eva Woods Peiró

Eva Woods Peiró is an Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies at Vassar College. She is currently completing a book manuscript, White Gypsies, Folklóricas, and Stardom: Racing for Modernity in Spanish Musical Films, 1923-1954, (University of Minnesota Press, 2006) and has published several articles on the topic. She is the co-editor of a collection of essays entitled Visualizing Spanish Modernity (Berg, 2005) and is one of the authors of The Mediation of Everyday Life: An Oral History of Spanish Cinema-going in the 1940s and 50s (Berghahn, 2006).
