Federico Windhausen

Federico Windhausen is a film historian and curator based in Buenos Aires. He is the editor of the forthcoming collection A Companion to Experimental Cinema (Wiley) and the author of various articles on experimental cinema. He is also the great-grandson of Anselmo Windhausen, the German geologist whose discovery in 1919 of petrified forests in Patagonia, Argentina, led to the forests’ abundant Araucaria pine-cone fossils briefly being named Araucaria windhauseni in his honour.
