Fernando Ilharco

Fernando Ilharco received his Ph.D. in information systems from the LondonSchool of Economics and Political Science (2002) and is currently a professorin communication sciences at the School of Human Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal. His research interests are in the philosophy of communication and the philosophy of information and communication technologies. His work mainly follows a phenomenological approach, based on the workings of Heidegger, Baudrillard, McLuhan, Flusser, Luhmann, Freud and Jung. Mass and group communication and the phenomenon of leadership have also been the focus of his recent research.
