Filomena Papa

Filomena Papa received a Doctor Laurea Degree in Electronic Engineering summa cum laude at the University of Rome in 1980. She specialized in organizational sciences from the School S3 Studium of Rome. She is a senior researcher at Fondazione Ugo Bordoni (FUB). She is author or co-author of more than 200 scientific publications. Until 1986, her research activity was in the field of television systems and she was Italian Delegate of the CCIR study group 11. Since 1987, she has realized/coordinated usability and user experience experimental research in video-conferencing, multimedia systems, distance learning, distance work, telemedicine, t-government, digital television, ICT services for crisis manager training, e-health, and e-learning. She participated as an Italian expert in the EU RACE Program, in the EU COST 212, 219, 289 Projects and in the ETSI HF1 study group. She has been involved in several European research projects: inside the ESA Olympus Program, the EU RACE, ACTS, FP7, and AAL Programs. Her current research interests include user experience, user acceptance, and ICT adoption models.
