Franca Faccioli
Franca Faccioli is former professor of sociology of culture and communication in the Department of Communication and Social Research at Sapienza University of Rome. Her research focuses on public sector communication, public engagement, gender and the representation of public problems in Italian society. She served as a co-director of the research unit Ge.M.Ma (Gender and Media Matters) from 2014 to 2019 and as coordinator of the research network Cultural Processes and Institutions from 2008 to 2011 at the Italian Sociological Association (AIS). Her work has been published in various journals, such as Social Media+Society, International Review of Sociology, Participation and Conflict (PACO) and Sociologia della Comunicazione.
