Geoff Bardwell

Geoff Bardwell holds a Ph.D. in women’s studies and feminist research from the University of Western Ontario. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Medicine at University of British Columbia, where his research primarily focuses on drug use and how intersections of identities and experiences (e.g., gender, sexuality, ethnicity) as well as social, structural and physical environments (e.g., stigma, criminalisation and drug use spaces), produce varying conditions of vulnerability, marginalisation and risk for people who use drugs. Bardwell is supported by a Mitacs Elevate Postdoctoral Fellowship from Mitacs Canada.
