Giselle M. d. S Ferreira
Giselle Ferreira is a lecturer at the Department of Communication and Systems, Faculty of Maths, Computing and Technology at the UK Open University, where she is part of the team responsible for the introduction, integration and development of music technology in the university's curriculum. Giselle has a multidisciplinary background in electronics engineering, music and education, and her research interests revolve around issues surrounding disciplinarity, with particular interest on questions that arise in the relationship between education, technology and politics. She is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and has been recently awarded a Teaching Fellowship at the Open University's Centre for Open Learning of Mathematics, Science, Computing and Technology, COLMSCT. Giselle is currently a member of the Academic Team supporting OpenLearn, the university's Open Educational Resources Initiative.
