Helen J. English
Helen English is senior lecturer in music at the University of Newcastle, Australia. She is currently a member of the Centre for 21st Century Humanities at the University of Newcastle. She is also a member of the NSW Council of Women, and was secretary of the Hunter Chapter of the Musicology Society of Australia between 2008 and 2013. Her research interests include nineteenth-century colonial music making, music outreach, community music and creative ageing.
