Hélène Aarts
Hélène Aarts studied art (painting and printmaking) and didactics at The Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg and the Design Academy in Eindhoven (TUE). In drawing classes, workshops, videos and in recent papers she focuses on idea generation, research by drawing, experiencing space and the ambiguity between that experience and the representation. Hélène is assistant professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, Faculty of The Built and works as an autonomous visual artist. She has an extensive teaching experience at several design faculties and departments in Holland, teaches international and professionally oriented workshops, and does all activities to promote drawing by hand for the professional architect and designer.
