Howard Riley

Howard Riley (Ph.D. MA [RCA] CertDes FRSA FHEA) studied at Hammersmith and Coventry Colleges of Art, and the Royal College of Art. He has a doctorate from the University of Wales in the practice and pedagogy of drawing. He taught at Curtin University, Western Australia 1980–91; he was a visiting tutor at the Malaysian Institute of Art 1991, before arriving at Swansea College of Art 1991, where he was head of School of Research & Postgraduate Studies between 2004 and 2014. He has published on drawing and visual culture (https://researchgate.net/profile/Howard_Riley) and exhibited drawings in Australia, United States and United Kingdom.
