Inês Monteiro Ferreira
Inês M. Ferreira, b. 1984, Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, is a London-based artist working with language, sculpture, print, digital film and performance. She has studied illustration in Kent with a practice orientated towards fine art and after graduating her professional experiences gravitated around graphic design and publishing. She has artworks in the Comic Books Library in Lisbon, Deptford Does Art and at the Camberwell College of Arts collections. She has also been commissioned to paint several murals privately. M. Ferreira worked for the fine art industry in London as an artist assistant and lived at the same time in Hackney Wick, where she started many community-orientated art events and initiatives. The social impact of art and an urge to engage in a research-based critical art practice propelled her to establish her own fine art practice.
