Isabella Tam

Isabella Tam (Chinese: 譚雪凝) is the associate curator of M+, a visual culture museum in Hong Kong. Her major curatorial areas include the M+ Sigg Collection of Chinese contemporary art, a core collection of the museum, as well as photography in Asia and beyond. Exhibitions Tam curated and organized include the Sigg Prize 2019 (2019–20), the online exhibition – Mapping Sigg Collection (2019), Canton Express (2017) and M+ Sigg Collection: Four Decades of Chinese Contemporary Art (2016) and Song Dong: 36 Calendars (2012). She co-edited Chinese Art since 1970s, which will be published in 2021. Prior to joining M+, she served as an assistant curator of the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre and a curatorial fellow at the Whitechapel Gallery in London. Tam received her master’s degrees in art history and in curatorial studies at the University of Essex, UK.
